The location of our first dental clinic in 2001, Nepal’s wonderful children and magnificent scenery will capture your heart. Global Dental Relief volunteers may select from three tripsall designed to reach school populations with desperately needed dental care in Nepal.

The Nepal-Kathmandu “Original Trip” is GDR’s signature trip, serving school children since 2001.  Volunteers arrive in the bustling capital city of Kathmandu, and stay in the largely pedestrian area of the Boudhnath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Clinic takes place at the school of our wonderful long time partner – the Shree Mangil Dvip School.  A highlight is having the senior students for this school work alongside GDR volunteers during the clinic week.

Choose one of two optional sightseeing itineraries to cap the clinic experience – trekking along the Everest Trail or a Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park! Details can be found below.

The new Nepal Small Adventure trips serve children in two remote, but drivable, settings; Pokhara and Pharping. These locations feature smaller four chair dental clinics with teams of 10 volunteers.

Volunteers stay in comfortable, clean guesthouses and work with spectacular views of the towering Himalayas.  Clinics treat children from surrounding rural locations. See the itineraries below for full descriptions and details. You must be a return volunteer or have significant international travel experience to join these small adventure clinics.
