When free dental work is completed, the patients may choose from dozens of one-of-a-kind brightly colored scarves. That can be a major effort for children who rarely get to make a choice about something new – and they love it!

Arriving to provide dental care in Cambodia
Leaving Denver it is 7 degrees – -bitter cold and dark. Arriving in Cambodia, the heat is dense and the drive from the airport passes palm trees, and barefoot children playing in dusty yards.

Daybreak shows silhouetted palm trees and a cool, clear morning. At 7:15 we head to clinic – we start early in Cambodia to beat the heat of the day. After a 20 minute drive we are deep in the countryside, passing ox carts and swarms of children biking to school.

Today is set up day for our Mobile Dental Clinic. We start with an empty but clean room – here in Nepal this is a school classroom.
