Group Selfies at Angkor Wat
In between hard work at the clinic — 660 children treated so far– volunteers take time to visit the magnificent temples of Angimagebic 3kor Wat.

These monuments, built from 800 to 1400 A.D., are unrivaled in grandeur and scale in southeast Asia and beyond,

After clinic, volunteers were treated to a remarkable sunset at the main temple of Angkor Thom. Mid-way through the clinic, they return for a sunrise hike and day tour of the world-reknown Bayon and Angkor Thom temples (shown in the cover photo), ending the day with a zipline through the forest canopy.

Sunriseimage3 and sunset visits are image4magical journeys through ancient temples, carved with exquisite murals and surrounded by dense jungle and exotic sounds. The group also had a great time capturing group selfies amongst the ruins!

Cambodia lures image8you with its natural beauty – open vistas of fresh green rice fields, where water buffalo rest partially submerged. This time of year baby buffaloes play alongside their more sedentary mothers. Fishermen cast nets into standing water and children dive in adjacent canals.

Life here seems bustling and full of life, yet the pace feels slow. With the high heat of mid-day, you learn to move at a pace that lets the slow breeze catch and cool you. It is a beautiful country with a gracious and alluring appeal.

Cambodia is also a very safe country and volunteers are free to walk late into the eveimagebic2ning or take a run in the early morning dawn. Today our clinic ends and we celebrate this time together. Our work together has forged fast friendships and a strong and vibrant team!
